BioCharacter Name: Touda
Character Series: Yami no Matsuei
Age: really really OLD
Background: Touda was born a snake god and raised in Gensoukai, a parallel plane of existence similar to earth, where shikigami live. Touda was a primary participant in a series of battles in a revolution against the Golden Emperor who ruled over Gensoukai, but he went out of control and killed many on both sides and burned the land itself with his intense fires. Finally he was captured and sentenced to eternal imprisonment within Tenku even though many wanted him to be executed.
Centuries passed and eventually the shinigami Tsuzuki Asato found Touda and asked the snake to become his shiki. Much to everyone's surprise, Touda accepted. There were still many who held fearful grudges against Touda though so the only way Tenku would allow Touda his freedom was if the snake god agreed to several conditions. Touda agreed again, and his hair (a sign of power and pride) was cut and a controlling device was placed on him. Then he was allowed to make a contract with Tsuzuki and become his shiki.
Personality: Touda is not exactly a social person even though he doesn't go out of his way to avoid others. His outlook is understandably serious with the occasional cynical remark mixed in with an oddly dry humor. His relationship with Tsuzuki is rather simple, Touda will obey any command Tsuzuki gives him but he will only follow the exact command given. (ei. If he's asked to get some milk, he will bring a jug of milk but no glasses to drink from.) This obviously puts him at odds with most of Tsuzuki's other shiki, especially Suzaku, who tries to rough him up every time they meet.
